Attendance & Leave

  1. Only authorised persons mentioned in the I-Card will be allowed to pick up the child.
  2. A written request from the parent / guardian is required.
  3. Parent's identity proof to be produced at the school gate.
  4. A permission slip is to be obtained and shown at the school gate before leaving the school campus.
  5. No student of the school is allowed to leave the premises during school hours unless accompanied by a guardian, who has to carry an out pass signed by the principal and show it to the guard on duty at the front gate.
  6. Leave of absence is granted on a prior (except in case of unforeseen circumstances) written application from parents or guardians but only for serious reasons (in the case of family medical emergencies and the marriage of a member of the immediate family). Leave application has to be signed by the Principal.
  7. Students will be granted two days leave to attend a wedding, apart from the time taken in traveling.
  8. Student should take written permission from the class teacher prior to proceeding on outstation leave.
  9. It is compulsory for a student who is absent for a day to bring a leave note addressed to the Principal and signed by the student's parent/guardian. If the absence is due to a long illness/contagious disease, a doctor's fitness certificate is essential, in addition to the leave letter.
  10. Medical leave will only be granted by the Principal.
  11. All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation and must be present on the closing for the vacation. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate before they join the class.
  12. Only those students will be put on duty that represent the school while playing a tournament, a sport or participate in any other event.
  13. It is compulsory for the students to complete 75% of the attendance before each Summative Assessments of Term of one academic session in order to be eligible to appear for Summative Assessments or Promotion may not be granted to the next higher class. The percentage, however, can be relaxed on genuine medical grounds.
  14. In case attendance is short, the student will not be eligible for any academic prize.
  15. A Student's name will be struck off the rolls on account of continued, unexplained absence for 10 or more consecutive days.
  16. NO attendance would be given to a student during period of suspension.
  17. Day's absence during the Formative/Summative Assessments on medical grounds is required to be supported by a Medical Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner, on a form obtainable from the school office.
  18. It is also compulsory to attend school when events such as Sports Day, Kaleidoscope and inter-house competitions are held. No student may miss regular or remedial classes, detention, assembly, school authorised sports sessions, co-curricular/tutorial meetings, and any school events without permission.
  19. Appointments with doctors, dentists and other medical personnel must not be arranged during school hours.
  20. Children who are suffering from measles, chicken pox and other infectious diseases should not be sent to school until the quarantine period is over. This is a preventive measure to protect your child and the spread of the disease in the school. Serious action will be taken if a child with fever, measles, chicken pox or any other contagious disease is sent to school.
  21. A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce the doctor's certificate declaring him/her fit to join the classes
  22. Punctuality :

  23. Student should arrive at the school five minutes before the warning bell is rung.
  24. The school gates will close 10 minutes after the warning bell is rung.
  25. Any student coming late will be penalised. The school begins with prayer (Assembly) and all are expected to be present for the same.
  26. Pupils must be punctual at the beginning of the day, for all subject classes and activities.
  27. A student who arrives late will require bringing an explanatory note from the parent / guardian.
  28. All Explanatory noted for absence/late arrival should be handed over to the class teacher. No one who is late or has been absent on the previous day will be admitted to the class, without the permission of class teacher/ principal.
  29. Three late arrivals will lead to the student being sent back home.
