Admission

  1. We feel parents in Jodhpur recognise and understand what Our Lady of Pillar Convent School stands for and only those understanding the benefits of our philosophy would apply here.
  2. Names are registered for admission to the school in the month of January/February every year.
  3. The Registration Form, duly filled should be submitted in the School office by the due date.
  4. We will not be in a position to entertain requests for delay in completion of formalities.
  5. Registration for a particular class does not mean that the child would be admitted to that class. All that it ensures is that the child would be tested for admission to class for which he/she has applied.
  6. Admissions are open for everyone irrespective of caste, creed or religion. However, the School reserves the right to admit or refuse admission to a candidate and assignment to a particular section or class, if admitted, at its discretion as per its own criteria of admission.
  7. All valid registrations are invited for an interactive presentation.
  8. Attendance of both parents for the presentation is mandatory to be eligible for admissions.
  9. The children who have completed 3 years of age as on 31st March of the previous session are normally admitted to the Nursery class.
  10. Assessment of the child for admission is also based on the following factors:
    • Academic readiness and motivation.
    • Social and emotional development.
    • Family co-operation in working with the school and meeting the needs of the students.
    • Ability of the school to serve the needs of the child.
  11. The brothers/sisters of the school students are given some consideration in admission decisions.
  12. An additional 20% of the seats available are drawn to be maintained as a wait-list.
  13. Any seat falling vacant will automatically be open to the wait-listed students on the same day.
  14. Any attempt to influence the school's decision on admission is grounds for disqualifying a candidate.
  15. A student who has qualified for admission will be required to produce necessary certificates and pay the prescribed fees.

  17. Students offered admission must complete the formalities before joining, or the offer will stand cancelled and the seat will be passed on to the next student in the 'Waiting List'.
  18. Successful applicants must agree to all conditions set out in the School's Code of Conduct.
  19. The student/parent shall be liable for any wrong information leading to cancellation of admission.
  20. Date of birth & names once entered in the school records cannot be altered under any circumstances.
  21. A student's unsatisfactory, incorrigible conduct up to class X can disqualify him/her from admission to class XI in spite of his/her satisfactory academic performance.
  22. Admission shall be provisional till the prescribed fees and all the following (up to 186) formalities / documents are submitted at school office and found in order :

  23. Submission of the evidence of date of birth (Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar of Birth and Deaths), if not yet given.
  24. Evidence of passing the last qualifying class or promotion to present class.
  25. Original School Leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate from the previous school, which should be a recognised school, affiliated to the All India Board or a State Board of Education. Transfer Certificates have to be signed by DEO if transferred from other states.
  26. 2 Passport size Photographs.
  27. In case a candidate is adopted, parents will have to produce attested copy of the adoption certificate issued by the competent authority.
  28. In case of divorce/separation, the parent who is admitting the child will have to produce copy of custody of child certificate issued by the competent law officer.
  29. Proof of residence of the child (Copy of Ration card / Voter's ID / Passport).
  30. A medical certificate from a qualified registered doctor showing the record of any particular ailment or health condition about which the school ought to know.
  31. Parents, who are unable to produce the TC and Report Card from their previous school immediately after declaration of the result of the present class, must give an undertaking of assurance to deposit TC and Report Card from their previous school immediately after declaration of the result or within 15 days of joining of school.
  32. Only those students will be considered for admission who submits a TC and Report Card with the remark "passed" or "promoted" to class for which they are being tested. No person who is under the sentence of rustication or is expelled from any Board/University/ School or is debarred from appearing in the examination for whatever reason by any Board/ University shall be admitted to any class in the School.
